Collecting a paid sandbag order for someone else in Edmonton
The person paying and the person driving to collect an order may be different. A clear handover matters: the collector needs the selected location, the correct quantity and the actual paid receipt, rather than an address copied from an old message.
Agree on the pickup plan before paying
Choose who will collect and which pickup area works for that person. The four options are Kennedale, Brintnell and Ozerna in Edmonton, and Westpark in Fort Saskatchewan. Check the current locations guide together instead of assuming that a familiar business address is the collection point for this order.
The checkout asks who is picking up and requires a name, phone number and receipt email. Make those details useful for the actual collection. Keep the email address accessible to the person managing the order. If an existing paid order is under a different name or the collector changes, contact the team before the trip to confirm what is needed; do not edit or improvise the receipt yourself.
Pay online before sending anyone to collect
All pickup orders must be paid online at SandBags.ca before arrival. Pickup locations are for collection and cannot accept payment for the order. Giving a driver an address, a quantity or cash does not complete the online order.
Pickup starts at one bag, at $5.99 CAD per bag plus 5% GST on the bags. One bag totals $6.29 CAD. A 55-bag pallet quantity totals $345.92 CAD including GST. If the checkout is cancelled or the receipt says payment is pending or not paid, resolve the payment status before asking someone to collect.
Share the paid receipt, not just the location guide
After payment, check the receipt page and the receipt email. They include the selected address and Google Maps directions. The collector should have that receipt on their phone or a printed copy. A screenshot of a price, a delivery enquiry or a printed list of locations is not proof that an order has been paid.
The receipt page provides sharing and copying options. Its private link contains order and contact details, so share it directly with the person collecting instead of posting it in a public group. The email resend option sends another copy to the original order email address. Check the inbox and spam folder before assuming a receipt was lost.
Tell the collector the quantity and weight
Each bag weighs 18 kg. Ten bags weigh 180 kg; 55 bags contain 990 kg of bags before a pallet and packaging. The person arranging the order may know the quantity while the driver does not, so include the count in the handover.
Confirm that the vehicle is suitable for the whole load and check loading arrangements for a pallet order. Do not assume that a station can load a particular vehicle or that equipment is automatically part of a pickup purchase. Discuss an unsuitable load with the team and request a delivery quote if necessary.
If the plan changes, call before making another trip
Use the location selected on the paid receipt. If a different area would be more convenient, or if there is a stock or collection issue, contact the team before visiting another point. A receipt for one location should not be treated as an instruction to try all four.
